opportunities to serve

Once you've found your place in Bible Study and groups, it's time to get plugged into service.  Whatever your skills, talents, and gifts, there's a place for you to help.  Check below for opportunities, or let us know if you have other ideas.

  • Nursery

    Sundays and Wednesdays

Do you enjoy working with children? Consider volunteering in the nursery. Childcare is provided during the Sunday and Wednesday worship times, and sometimes on special occasions. Check with Robin to see when she needs help.

  • Lighthouse Kids

    Sundays and Wednesdays

There's always room for people who want to serve! Children come together for Sunday School, Children's Church, and Bible Study, as well as special events both on-site and off-site, like field trips or Vacation Bible School. Check with the Josh and Children's Ministry Team to see how you can help.

  • Lighthouse Youth

    Sundays and Misc. times

The Lighthouse Youth meet every Sunday and Sunday night Youth, as well as other engaging in other activities which include local missions projects, prayer events, and fellowship opportunities. There's fun, laughter, prayer, and learning about how to please God. Speak to Simon Wilson to see how you can help.

  • Music ministry

    Sunday Morning Worship

    Other occasions as needed

The Choir always welcomes new members. Whether you sing like an angel or simply make a joyful noise, you're invited to join the Celebration Choir.

Play an instrument?  Like singing in a smaller group?  The Praise Team would like to hear from you!

Praise Team Practice is every Wednesday at 6 p.m.

Choir Practice is every Wednesday at 7 p.m.

  • Photography/Videography Ministry

    Various times, especially special events

Do you enjoy taking pictures? We'd love you to consider taking pictures at regular worship services as well as special events. These pictures will help to enhance our Website and Facebook page, as well as document the history of our church family! Just like pictures, videos help to preserve the joy of worship and fellowship within our church family. If you have the time and talent, please consider volunteering for one or both!

  • Audio/Video Ministry

    Sunday and Misc. times

Want to help with the technical aspects of the worship service?  A few volunteers are always needed who can learn to operate the soundboard, cameras, computer, and/or other A/V equipment used in the worship service. Talk to Pastor Tom Alderman to get plugged in.

Missions and Outreach

Acts 1:8 admonishes us to be witnesses for Christ, in our hometown, state, nation, and world. The FBCM family takes this command to heart; we initiate and/or participate in numerous mission and outreach activities throughout the year. Whether it's providing meals to local First Responders and educators, collecting gifts and items for needy children or disaster relief victims, or going on mission trips to Appalachia or South America, there's always a way for you to help. Check back frequently to see what new efforts are in the works.
