Who We Are
At First Baptist Church Metter, we strive to be a body of believers who are Christ-like, faithful in our service to God, and committed to spreading the Gospel. Believing that we have been given a mission to serve the local community first, then Georgia, then the rest of the world, we work to be unified in our purpose of glorifying and exalting the name of God in all that we do.
First Baptist is a conservative Southern Baptist Church which holds to the basic, fundamental doctrines of Scripture. As such, we believe that the Bible is the inerrant and infallible Word of God, and that Christ was born of a virgin, died as a blameless substitute for our sins, was bodily resurrected, and will one day return to reclaim those who are His.
